The Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) is a strategic thinker and senior member of the Management Team for the Tennessee Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and is responsible for the financial and human resources functions of the chapter as well as facilities, information systems and overall office management. The DFO does supervise staff and works extensively with the chapter’s board and volunteer leadership. The DFO works in close cooperation with the Regional Senior Financial Analyst and the chapter’s Grant Specialist to ensure compliance with the Consedervancy’s financial procedures.
Music City Center is hiring a Sustainability Coordinator
Responsible for coordinating and implementing sustainability initiatives for the Convention Center Authority that will benefit the Music City Center clients, exhibitors, attendees, team members, and the environment. Position will be responsible for performing a variety of specialized functions including but not limited to maintaining Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification as well as maintaining and expanding the environmental standard as defined by EMS. Additional responsibilities will include researching, recommending, and implementing best practices for sustainability in areas such as energy use, renewable energy, water conservation, water management/recycling, transportation choices, green cleaning, reusable donations and green meeting. Position will also be responsible for initiating grant applications supporting sustainability improvements funded through state or federal programs, collaborating with clients and meeting planners to design “Green Meetings” plans related to specific events, and leading sustainability tours and conducting program outreach and promotional activities to communicate and promote the Convention Center Authority sustainability program. Assist communications team with publications as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Biology, or related field with one (1) to three (3) years of environmental/sustainability work experience preferred. LEED certification such as LEED Green Associate or LEED Accredited Professional (Operations & Maintenance) also preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered.
This is a position of the Convention Center Authority; not a Metropolitan Government position. Excellent benefits included. Valid Tennessee Driver’s License required. Flexible work schedules and will include some weekend week. Salary range: $37,800-40,000.

TGCR opened in 2010 as Nashville’s first creative reuse non-profit organization. We divert materials from landfills through creative endeavors in four avenues: education, retail space, open studio, and gallery. We use our salvaged materials to create art with students.
