TWIG Seed Fund

The TWIG Seed Fund supports women seeking to expand their skills, knowledge, and experience through continuing education opportunities. We care about our members and want them to grow. Through our scholarship program, we aim to welcome new faces to this program, especially those representing underserved populations, professions, communities, and strategic partners working in these communities.

The Seed Fund is a grant opportunity available for all TWIG members to further their educational growth. Qualified undertakings include course study in environmental science and sustainability; attendance at sustainability conferences, summits, seminars, and retreats; and other activities deemed worthy by the Board of Directors.

Casey Reznik, Mechanical Licensing Manager at Concord and TWIG Member, after attending Music Sustainability Alliance’s Inaugural Summit

“It gave me the space to not only learn, but to make connections with other like-minded individuals who are committed to making the music industry a more sustainable and carbon neutral industry.

This opportunity has opened doors and started conversations to make change for the better.  A fun bonus was also getting to meet one of my music idols who is heavily involved with advocating for sustainability via his music platform.”

Anna Caro, owner of MOTIV Interiors and TWIG Member, after attending Dwell on Design 2018 Conference

“What an amazing time! It was just what I needed while starting my business for a kick of inspiration.”

Brandi Prewitt, Director of Development & Communications at Tennessee Environmental Council and TWIG Member, after achieving a sustainability certificate

“Thanks to receiving the TWIG SEED Fund Grant, I could afford to take the customized certificate program with Jeff Gowdy to expand my skills earlier this year.

As a result of this training, I now know how to perform ESG benchmarking, do an ESG materiality assessment, report on Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, deliver a CDP report for a company, create an emissions baseline, assess an SBTI baseline and target and submit it for approval, create the most effective sustainability report, understand GRI, SASB, and IR reporting frameworks, and construct a SASB report.”
